Chinking
Chinking closes the gaps between your logs to keep your home water and air tight, warm, and pest free. We apply all Permachink and Sascho product lines as well as mix custom color mortar chinking.
Log Repair and Replacement
At Brown County Logsmiths we have the skills and resources to repair and replace rotten, ugly logs that can compromise the integrity of your cabin if left unattended. We can custom mill new logs or we can source antique logs to better match an antique log home. No matter the style of cabin, we can provide the proper fit and finish to keep your new or antique home structurally sound and looking good.
Log Cleaning
We employ all methods of cleaning interior and exterior log surfaces including chemical, pressure wash, media blasting, Osborne brush, sponge etc. We do regular maintenance cleanings as well as stain prep and wood restoration.
Pest Prevention and Control
We are licensed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to handle, trap, relocate, or otherwise deal with all non-endangered nuisance wildlife and venomous reptiles.
We offer affordable borate treatment services for fungus/boring insect prevention and maintenance treatments. Treatments can be applied pre stain or stand-alone.
